Dancing with the Stars

The kennel club was asked to participate in the “Weidner Extravaganza” on May 19th that was hosted by Washington Middle School. A drill team choreographed by Faith Beam and Nancy Geneva did their routine with the middle school band playing “Louie Louie”, “Hound Dog” and “Rock Around The Clock”. What good dogs we have to be able to do their “thing” on stage with a middle school band playing and stage lights shining on them and hundreds of people watching.

Thanks to these dedicated members and their dogs to take on this challenge!

Going to the Dogs

The Packerland Kennel Club building was filled with laughter, lots of smiles, and dogs of all sorts on April 22, 23, & 24. A group of 20 children from Aldo Leopold Elementary School attended a program titled “Going To The Dogs” at the Packerland Kennel Club. Thank you so very much to the club members that took time to attend the program and share their knowledge and dogs with the children. Topics that were covered included service dogs, safety around dogs, groups of dogs, puppies, responsible dog ownership, and obedience demonstrations.
